Presbyterian Hurricane Ike Recovery

It is imperative that the faith-based community enact Jesus’ admonition to house the homeless.  Hurricane Ike displaced 100,000 families, many of whom have no insurance or resources for recovery.

Our mission: rebuilding homes and restoring lives.  Through volunteer efforts we  are rebuilding homes, communities and churches affected by three hurricanes in three years ( Rita in 2005, Gustav in 2008 and Ike in 2008).

Helping families to return to their homes also helps

The Presbytery of New Covenant in Southeast Texas provides leadership, financial assistance to Long Term Recovery Organizations (non-profit organizations sanctioned by the State of Texas), and coordination of local and national volunteer efforts.
